Day 102

Today was spent at Busch Gardens where they have a newish roller coaster called Sheikra which is different from any I had ever been on. You are suspended in the air for several seconds before being dropped at 90 degrees. I know there's a lot of steep drops out there, but I have never seen an actual straight down drop on a rollercoaster. Scary as it sounds, it was awesome (and I'm terrified of heights).

Disclaimer: I did not actually take this video because I was too busy having a panic attack on the way up and would not have been coordinated enough not to lose my camera.

Day 101

We headed on a road trip across the state to Tampa this past weekend and had a lot of fun. Our first night, we had dinner with a fellow Stratfordite at an authentic Spanish style restaurant in historic Ybor City.

I love doing this pilates video on days that I don't feel like doing a tough workout or as an add-on to runs and bike rides. It's actually really challenging for a video and I've been doing it on and off for months without getting bored. It's on netflix instant video which I am also obsessed with : )

Day 98

Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate my anniversary. Since it is Palm Beach Restaurant Month, we got the opportunity to eat at Taboo on Worth Avenue (equivalent to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills). I had Mahi and Alison had Lobster. I had my absolute favorite dessert, key lime pie, which was pretty much why I chose this restaurant. The food was amazing, yummmmm!

Dock jumping from last weekend! It was pouring rain and lightning so we decided that the water was a better place to be. good idea? I think so.

Scott finally got his anniversary box in the mail, so now I can show you all what I sent. It's our second anniversary and the traditional gift is cotton. So I sent him a Florida alligator stuffed with...cotton! Sending a 25 year old soldier a build-a-bear might seem a little dorky, but that's because teddy bears are for kids. This is a very scary alligator with sharp teeth. much cooler. And of course I had to make him a special shirt too : )

Look at me and my sportiness. We were finally able to test out the tennis courts in the complex we live in and even though we are both terrible (despite my entire winter of lessons) it was a lot of fun.

I love my fedora! Except it got completely soaked in the pouring rain and now looks deflated. I hope I can fix it so I can wear it again.

Day 83

Probably the best thing about or weekend misadventure that led us to a different campground than originally planned was this old fruit stand that a park ranger tipped us off to. It is full of exotic fruits all locally grown in South Florida as well as unique honey, salsa, jam and our favorite part—amazing milkshakes and smoothies! It was so good we stopped on the way home too.
